2018 Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals

Louisiana based professional drag racers had strong showings once again on the NHRA national event trail. Jerry Savoie, an alligator farmer by trade from Cut Off raced to a runner up finish in the Pro Stock Motorcycle category while New Orleans resident Erica Enders claimed the same spot in Pro Stock. Other area racers putting in strong efforts were LE Tonglet of Metairie and Angelle Sampey of Luling. Tonglet raced to a semi-final finish while Sampey claimed a round one win before losing in round two of Pro Stock Motorcycle.

Shawn Langdon continued his freshman season behind the wheel of a Funny Car, advancing to round two.
